Key Care Parameters
Conditioning on Receipt
- Unbox immediately — do not leave in cardboard in a warm environment.
- Re-cut stems at a 45° angle under running water, removing 2–3 cm.
- Place in clean buckets with fresh water + flower food (Chrysal Clear or equivalent) at 5°C for minimum 4 hours before displaying or selling.
- Remove any leaves that will sit below the waterline.
- Keep away from fruit (ethylene source) and direct air conditioning vents.
Display & Vase Care
- Use a clean vase — bacteria are the primary cause of premature wilting.
- Fill with cool water and add flower food at the manufacturer's recommended rate.
- Recut stems and change water every 2–3 days.
- Display away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and ripening fruit.
- Ideal display temperature 15–20°C.

Key Care Parameters
Conditioning on Receipt
- Unbox in a room at 15°C or warmer — never in a cool room or coldstore.
- Re-cut stems under water, removing 1–2 cm at an angle.
- Place in clean shallow water (5–8 cm) — anthurium stems rot in deep water.
- Hold in a dedicated warm holding area at 15–18°C, away from all other cold-stored flowers.
- Sleeve spathes immediately if placing in any area below 15°C — the sleeve provides a micro-climate buffer.
Display & Customer Care Instructions
- Keep at room temperature (18–22°C) — anthurium will not last in air-conditioned cool environments.
- Re-cut stems every 5–7 days and change water.
- Wipe spathe gently with a damp cloth if dusty — this restores the lacquered sheen.
- Mist lightly if humidity is low (below 50%).
- Do not place near ethylene sources (ripening fruit, car exhausts, cigarette smoke).

Conditioning on Receipt — Critical Steps
- Unbox immediately. Do not delay — every minute without water shortens vase life.
- Re-cut stems under water, removing 3–4 cm at a 45° angle. Crush or split the bottom 2 cm of woody stem to increase water uptake.
- Place in deep buckets of clean water with Chrysal P2 or equivalent hydrangea conditioner at 5°C for minimum 4 hours. Overnight is better.
- Remove all leaves below the waterline.
- If stems have wilted in transit: submerge entire stem and flower head briefly (30 seconds) in cool water, then recondition as above — many blooms will recover.
Display & Vase Care
- Use clean vases with deep water — hydrangea drinks heavily.
- Add flower food and check water level daily.
- Change water and re-cut every 2–3 days.
- Mist flower heads lightly once daily — hydrangea absorbs water through the florets as well as the stem.
- Keep away from direct sun, heat, and fruit.

Key Care Parameters
Conditioning on Receipt
- Re-cut stems at 45° — only 1–2 cm as gerbera stems are naturally short.
- Place in shallow water only (3–5 cm) — deep water causes hollow stems to rot.
- Use scrupulously clean buckets. Bacteria are the #1 cause of gerbera failure.
- Add a silver-based antimicrobial (Chrysal Clear or Floralife Express) to the water.
- Condition at 5°C for 2–4 hours before display or sale.
Display & Vase Care
- Use a narrow-necked vase or provide stem support (grid, wire, frog) — gerbera heads are heavy and will bend necks.
- Shallow water only — 4–5 cm maximum. Refresh every 2 days.
- Do not crowd stems — good air circulation prevents botrytis.
- Avoid misting — wet petals promote fungal disease.
- Change water and re-cut every 2–3 days.
